I have found perfection. Each morning since we’ve been in La Seu D’Urgell we have gone for a long walk around the city. It’s the perfect way to explore the real city and get your bearings (I am utterly useless at directions and learn visually so need landmarks to find my way) especially one that is built with narrow alley ways.
I love architecture and the historical buildings that give a city its character and as I walk I wonder with awe at how people live together in such close proximity to one another. That is until we stumble upon the only place open serving coffee and pastries!
Yes that’s right I love food…not just any food, but beautiful food and we’ve discovered a little place where we get the most delectable melt-in-your-mouth chocolate croissants EVER!
Holy moly, they are orgasmic…truly they are! Even now I can taste the buttery pastry dissolve as it fuses with the melted chocolate….DEEEELIIIICOUSSS! It’s like the meeting of two lovers…beautiful and so so exciting.
I’m not sure I’ve ever been this excited about food but it is perfection in my eyes. I love pastries especially when they include chocolate and it just so happens we are in a city where these are a specialty…oh talk about the luck of the Irish!
I have told John that he could possibly leave me here so I could learn to speak the local language and order a chocolate croissant every day of my life. I believe he may have been a little disturbed/excited by this prospect!
So there you have it, perfection is whatever you want it to be. For me it is everywhere not just in a chocolate croissant but in architecture, in the mountains that surround the city, in the beautiful flowers that decorate balconies, in the eyes of a stranger.
Appreciate the perfection that you see each day. Open your eyes to it and you’ll discover that it doesn’t come in a neatly packaged box with a label on it. Perfection is not some unrealistic expectation that you’ve put on yourself or others, perfect is what makes us unique and real and incredible.
Perfection is a chocolate croissant in Spain….ahhh!
