Is fearlessness a fallacy?

[fusion_text]One of my favourite authors and people on the planet is Elizabeth Gilbert, author of Eat, Pray, Love  and her brand new book Big Magic which I’m devouring at the same time I write this blog.

In Big Magic Liz talks about building a partnership between fear and creativity, how fearlessness is a fallacy unless you’re a toddler or psychopath, and how to lead the way with fear e.g. you decide if you who’s talking the steering wheel not fear.

In this video with Marie Forleo and in her exquisitely authentic way, she talks about shit sandwiches, worthiness, creativity and not waiting until something is perfect (the serial killer of joy) to get started. She encourages us to open ourselves wide so we may receive the ideas and inspiration and decide if we will embrace it or let it go and find another being who is more receptive.

This video is worthy of watching right through to the end and maybe, just maybe, you’ll decide to take the lead and tell fear to get in the backseat for the rest of the journey.[/fusion_text][fullwidth backgroundcolor=”” backgroundimage=”” backgroundrepeat=”no-repeat” backgroundposition=”left top” backgroundattachment=”scroll” video_webm=”” video_mp4=”” video_ogv=”” video_preview_image=”” overlay_color=”” overlay_opacity=”0.5″ video_mute=”yes” video_loop=”yes” fade=”no” bordersize=”0px” bordercolor=”” borderstyle=”solid” paddingtop=”20px” paddingbottom=”20px” paddingleft=”0px” paddingright=”0px” menu_anchor=”” equal_height_columns=”no” hundred_percent=”yes” class=”” id=””][youtube id=”HyUYa-BnjU8″ width=”600″ height=”350″ autoplay=”no” api_params=”” class=””][fusion_text]What did you think?
